FAQs

Trackwalk is a personal project I released to the App Store after requests from friends. I built it frustrated with overly complicated trackers with dozens more features than I needed, constant prompts to subscribe, and intrusive ads.
I’m just a guy who needed an app that didn’t seem to exist. So I built it. -
TrackWalk has zero cloud integrations. That means your data is on your iPhone, and nowhere else.
It has built-in tools to import and export your data, and once a month it can offer to email you a copy of your data. But otherwise your data is yours. No cloud. No account.
Beware, though. If you don’t back up your data and you lose your phone, drop it in the river, or delete the app, your data is gone. -
Sorry, but it’s gone. TrackWalk doesn’t store data on a cloud server or in an account.
Unless you took the app up on its ability to export and back up your data, it doesn’t/didn’t exist anywhere but on your phone.
Sorry, but we can’t retrieve it. -
TrackWalk isn’t complicated. It has just the basic features, built for people who don’t need heavy duty tracking of heartrates, mile-by-mile pace, etc. It was purpose-built to not require an Apple Watch.
I’m very open to new feature requests. Fill out the contact form on this page, and I’ll consider it. But likely not at the expense of increased complexity. Users love TrackWalk for its sheer simplicity, and we aim to keep it that way. -
Complete the form below with as much info as you have.
It sounds ridiculous, but please make sure you’ve restarted your iPhone and can replicate the error repeatedly. There’s not much to this little app, so not a ton that can go wrong. But if you found something, say something. -
I have no beef with Apple Watch.
I just built TrackWalk to work without dependency on it. There are plenty of other trackers that work with it, and they’re great. If you need that kind of tracking, I recommend them.
I didn’t want or need that, so TrackWalk doesn’t have them. If you really want it, let me know in the Contact Form below.
